Surface water drainage
There must be no discharge of surface water to the main foul sewer.
no adverse traffic impacts
no objection in principle subject to no discharge of surface water to foul sewer
no problem with the proposals apart from supporting fire safety refusal recommendation
Rushen Parish Commissioners have no problem with the proposals but support the Fire Safety Officer's recommendation for refusal regarding the study due to unsafe means of escape; Department of Transport Drainage Division has no objection subject to surface water drainage conditions.
Key concern: means of escape from proposed study is via an inner room which is itself via the kitchen and is an inherently unsafe layout in case of fire
Rushen Parish Commissioners
Conditional No ObjectionWhilst the Commissioners have no problem with the proposals they would support the Fire Officers opinion that refusal be recommended as regards the study because the means of escape is unsafe.; Is this a retrospective application? The builders have already rendered and painted the upper half of the gable wall to the front elevation; the two windows which are supposed to be in the roof and, in fact one (as the new application asks for); the gap for the window of the proposed ‘study’ is already built.

Conditional No ObjectionNO OBJECTION In principle subject to...; these comments could be incorporated in the approval notice.
Conditions requested: There must be NO discharge of surface water (including that from roofs and paved areas) from this proposed development to any foul drainage system(s) so as to comply with the requirements of the Department of Transport Drainage Division and the Sewerage Act 1999.; If this “existing drainage” discharges (directly or indirectly) to the foul sewerage system then it should be noted that an alternative means of surface water disposal must be provided.
