General Policy 2
GP2 permits development in accordance with zoning and Area Plans if it respects site surroundings in siting/layout/scale/design, does not adversely affect landscape/townscape character, amenity of residents/locality, or highway safety/traffic flows, and provides safe access and adequate parking. Officers assessed the hard standing/parking against visual impact (grass verge loss acceptable as it adds little interest), highway safety (improvement via off-road parking, endorsed by Highway Services), and zoning suitability for schools. No tensions noted; full compliance found.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
