General Policy 2
Requires development in accordance with zoning to respect site/surroundings in siting, scale, form, design and not adversely affect landscape/townscape character or local amenities. Officer assessed the mobile unit's rear siting against existing building mass as not significantly harmful on a temporary basis, despite basic design.
Community Policy 5

Community Facility Proposal 3
Designates land adjacent to Rushen Primary School for educational purposes and community sports. The proposal aligns with future school needs on the designated site.
Time limit for commencement
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
Temporary permission for classroom
The classroom may remain in place for a temporary period expiring on 30th June, 2018 after which time it must be removed from the site unless otherwise approved in writing by the Planning Authority. Reason: mobile classrooms such as this are considered by the Planning Authority to be a temporary measure to address unusual or new situations in the school. If the reason for the temporary accommodation becomes a permanent requirement then the school should consider ways to make permanent provision for this either by reorganisation or expansion of the school infrastructure.
