The original application 08/00822/GB for erection of a dwelling within the grounds of St German's Cathedral, Derby Road, Peel, Isle of Man IM5 1HH was refused by the Planning Committee of the Department of Local Government and the Environment. The Revd Canon Nigel Godfrey, on behalf of The Vicar & Wardens, lodged an appeal on 14th August 2008. The appeal was notified to the Planning Secretary with reference L07NEW/AP08/0153. On 2nd September 2008, the Planning Appeals Administrator confirmed receipt of the appellants' request to withdraw the appeal, cancelling the requirement for statements. No inspector's analysis or decision was issued as the appeal did not proceed.
