Officer's Report
This application relates to a large building used for offices and light industrial in Cronkbourne.
The proposal is to replace the existing sliding sash windows with upvc casement windows with the same glazing pattern.
SPMC_E queried whether look-a-like windows meant they would open the same way. They had no objection if the windows were sliding sash and state it ios a sizeable house of some prescience and worthy of some care.
The property is not registered and not within a Conservation Area. The policy is that replacement windows should preferably be the same as or similar to the originals in the pattern of the glazing
bars. The proposal is to retain the glazing pattern although the method of opening would change to casement. In this particular location it is considered to be acceptable.
