SPMC&E conditionally supports the uPVC window replacement pending clarification on 'look-alike' design, Braddan Commissioners recommend approval, and Highways Division has no views due to no adverse traffic impacts.
Key concern: uncertainty over whether uPVC 'look-alike' frames will open the same way as existing windows
SPMC&E
Conditional No ObjectionThe application specifies frames that "look-alike" but what exactly does this mean? Will they open the same way? In other words, will they be sliding sashes, even though PVC? If they are, then we have no objections but this is a sizeable house of some prescience and worthy of some care.
