This approval relates to the use of the main car park to accommodate motorhomes for temporary stay, St Johns Football Club, Foxdale Road, St Johns as shown by Location, Site and Photograph received 15th December 2009 and Applicant Letter, Transport Statement and Motorhome Details received 1st October 2009.
Temporary use management
The use of the site for the temporary stay of motorhomes shall be undertaken in accordance with the following: (i) Motorhomes shall not be occupied as a person's sole, or main place of residence; (ii) the owners/operators of the site shall maintain an up-to-date register of the names of all owners/occupiers of individual motorhomes on the site, and of their main home addresses, and shall make this information available at all reasonable times to the Planning Authority. (iii) the owners/operators of the site shall record the time and date of initial arrival and final departure of all motorhomes to and from the site and shall make this information available at all reasonable times to the Planning Authority.
Site area and stay limits
The area shown hatched on the plan Motorhome Details may be used to accommodate temporary stay of motorhomes for a maximum continuous period of 4 weeks with no return within 1 month.
Maximum occupancy
No more than 12 motorhomes may be on the site at any one time.

SupportThe Department does support this application as the loss of a significant tourist premises would be detrimental to both the Islands tourist industry and economy.; St Johns Campsite has been a registered campsite with the Department of Tourism since 1995.

SupportThe Commissioners resolved to SUPPORT the continuation of the campsite which raises the profile of St John's and the Parish both on and off the island.; The Commissioners have resolved to issue such a licence for an indefinite period.
Conditions requested: The maximum continuous stay for any visitor should not exceed three weeks.; The current “one way” system of separate entrance and exit to the campsites should be maintained.
Drainage Division, Department of Transport
Conditional No ObjectionNo Objection subject to the following conditions; It is noted that the surface water from the property is to be discharged via a rain water harvesting system. The use of such a system will not form part of the public surface water drainage system and will remain private at all times.
Conditions requested: No overflow from the proposed unit will be permitted to discharge into the public foul drainage system.; The use of soakaways are subject to Building Control approval and if this approval is not granted, the Drainage Division would not give permission for the discharge of surface water into the existing foul system and an alternative means of disposal would have to be sought.; The full approval of Building Control is required for the installation of the unit and the soakaway.

No Commenttraffic will only exit from the western access closest to St Johns village. There is adequate visibility at this entrance and they intend to trim back vegetation to keep it clear.; At present the eastern access is not used for egress due to the inadequate visibility.
