Town and Country Planning Act 1999
Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005
Cornerstone Architects 79 Parliament Street Ramsey Isle of Man IM8 1AQ In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Infrastructure does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Miss Myrtle Quine Proposal: Approval in principle for the erection of a detached dwelling at:
Former Ayre Mowers Site Bride Road Bride Isle of Man which was considered on 19th April 2010, for the reasons set out below. Date of Issue: 20th April 2010 Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
Mrs P Faragher Deputy Secretary to the Planning Committee
Reason(S) For Refusal:
- The application site is not zoned for development and is within an area of High Landscape Value or Coastal Value and Scenic Significance. Therefore the proposal is contrary to both adopted general planning policy within the Isle of Man Strategic Plan and The Isle of Man Development Plan, which seek to restrict such development in the countryside. Approval of the planning application would result in unwarranted residential development in the countryside.
This decision was made by the Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to her under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
