Housing Policy 16
Requires that extensions to non-traditional dwellings or those of poor or inappropriate form will not generally be permitted where this would increase the impact of the building as viewed by the public. The officer noted the dwelling's previous extensions had not benefited its visual appearance, so tested the porch against this. It was found compliant as the modest porch on the southern elevation is completely screened from public view by substantial existing landscaping along the highway boundary.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
