Dear Sir,
Re: P.A. No. 42/01318/B - Erection of a dry store extension to rear service yard - Ramsey Park Hotel, Park Road, Ramsey for Ramsey Park Hotel Limited
I am directed to advise that the Commissioners considered the above application at their meeting held on Wednesday 17th October, 2012, and whilst they had no objection to the proposal, they made the following observation:-
- Whilst the proposal is at the rear of the Hotel, it would be clearly visible from the Mooragh Promenade and therefore it is recommended that landscaping be provided to the east elevation to achieve a more softened appearance to the proposed dry store.
I.o.M.W.S.A. Drainage Comments:
There must be NO discharge of surface water (including that from roofs and paved areas) from this proposed development to any foul drainage system(s) so as to comply with the requirements of the Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority and the Sewerage Act 1999.
The application states that the surface water from the proposed development is to be discharged to the "existing drainage". If this "existing drainage" discharges (directly or indirectly) to the foul sewerage system then it should be noted that an alternative means of surface water disposal must be provided.

I trust that this observation/comments will be brought to the attention of the Planning Committee, when considering this application. Yours faithfully,
P. S. Harrison CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
