Notes underground cables/overhead lines present; applicant to contact for safety and supply
Manx Electricity Authority requests contact for electricity supply; Manx National Heritage and Natural History Society support retention and reuse of the historic building with survey conditions; Patrick Parish Commissioners object on policy and practicality grounds; public letters support the application.

Conditional No Objectionthe combined structure of house and barn is an important example of an increasingly rare form of vernacular architecture; trusts the buildings will be kept under the same ownership
Conditions requested: prior to any work on the site, the developer should fund a proper survey of the buildings to be altered/demolished, including photographs and details of measurements and materials, internally and externally, of the buildings themselves as well as giving sufficient details to relate them to other extant buildings on site, by or on behalf of the Manx Museum and National Trust /Manx National Heritage (MNH) - with whom a copy of the survey should be lodged -and to the approval of the Planning Committee.
Manx National Heritage
SupportManx National Heritage strongly supports this application which would permit the retention and reuse of the whole of this complicated structure; a longhouse-type structure comprising a dwelling and barn-byre lies at the core of this building, which has subsequently been added to on a number of occasions. The original structure is likely to be of considerable age and its configuration is rare within the Island.
Patrick Parish Commissioners
ObjectionOPPOSE the Application on the following grounds; If this condition is now effectively removed, the effect will have been to create a new dwelling in the countryside rather than a replacement dwelling contrary to the Strategic Plan.
