Partington Nixon & Kinrade 7-9 Drinkwater Street Douglas IM1 1AT
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Whilo (2004) Ltd Proposal: Installation of replacement shop fronts at: 70 - 72 Bucks Road Douglas Isle Of Man
which was considered on 17th December 2008, for the reasons set out below.
Date of Issue: 24th December 2008
Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
Reason(S) For Refusal:
- The proposed development would be contrary to General Policy 2 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007 by reason of its form and design in that the proposed alterations would create a solid shopfront into the terrace which would be visual intrusive and be detrimental to the visual amenity of the locality.
This decision was made by the Acting Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
