In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Regulations the Department of Local Government and the Environment has given EXPRESS CONSENT to Food Programme Delivery Orchid Group for the placement, erection and/or display of adverts in accordance with the planning application and drawings submitted by or on behalf of the applicant and approved on the 25th November 2008.
In compliance with the requirements specified hereunder and generally in accordance with the requirements of the Control of Advertisements Regulations 2005, the proposal now given consent is for:
Erection of illuminated signage.
The site for positioning the advert is:
Co-Op Food Store 13 Michael Street Peel Isle of Man IM5 1HB
The conditions for such placement are:
1) The development hereby permitted shall be commenced before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
2) Any advertisements displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a clean and tidy condition to the reasonable satisfaction of the Department.
3) Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a safe condition.
4) Where an advertisement is required under these Regulations to be removed, the removal shall be carried out to the reasonable satisfaction of the Department.
5) No advertisement is to be displayed without permission of the owner of the site or any other person with an interest in the site entitled to grant permission.
6) No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to obscure, or hinder the ready interpretation of any traffic sign, railway or tramway signal or aid to navigation by water or air, or so as to render hazardous the use of any highway, railway, tramway, harbour or aerodrome.
7) This approval relates to the erection of illuminated signage, Manx Co-Operative, 13 Michael Street, Peel as shown by the plans and information 1829/1 and PLMCL-1 submitted and date stamped 24th September 2008.

This decision was made by the Acting Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
Guidance Note
This permission refers only to that required under the Control of Advertisements Regulations 2005.
The proposed advert may not be erected or displayed until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
