Reason(S) For Refusal:
- The proposed lantern light appears incongruous and cumbersome, failing to respect the proportion, form and materials of what is an otherwise well-conceived and prominent development situated within the Peel Conservation Area. As such, the proposal fails to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the area.
Note: On the conclusion of the planning application process, this retrospective development shall be referred to the Department's Enforcement Officer.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
