Officer's Report

The site is a major TV relay station for the island. The proposed works are in connection with the proposed Digital Switchover, which is due to take place in June 2009. The works are relatively minor and will not adversely affect the visual amenities of the locality. It is recommended that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2. This permission relates to the installation of a dish, equipment cabin and replacement antennas as shown in drawing number:20511_50_100_M04-04, 20511_50_150_M04-04, 20511_50_160_M04-04, 20511_00_004_M04-01 date stamped 17th July 2008 and supporting statement from National Grid Wireless datd June 2008.

C 3. In the event of the equipment cabin and dish antenna erected under this approval becomes redundant it must be taken down and removed from the site within 3 months of the cessation of use.

C 4. Within one month of the installation of the equipment cabin hereby approved, it shall be colour coated green. Any replacement or modification shall be colour coated to match within one month of it being carried out.
