From: Phil Barron [[email protected]] Sent: 18 August 2008 09:32 To: Faragher, Paula; Dudley, Cath; Barfoot, Karen; Connan, Marie; Callow, Jo (DoLGE) Subject: Planning Applications - Commissioners Meetings - 12th August 2008 Dear Jo, Please find below the Commissioners decisions in relation to planning applications considered by them at their meeting on the 12th August 2008.
The Commissioners had no objection to the following planning applications:
- PA08 01353 B - Mr and Mrs Jones - Window and door alterations - Vicarage Road Braddan
- PA08 01385 - Mr L McCubbin - Sunroom/Conservatory - The Stables Ballaslig Port Soderick
- PA08 01388 - MEA - Erection of a sub-station/switch room and extension of road - Ballacottier Business Park
- PA08 01389 B - NGW - Installations of three dishes and one antenna - Old Castletown Road Braddan
- PA08 01400 B - Mr and Mrs Mtshali - Extension to dwelling and widening of driveway - 53 Ballanawin Strang
- PA08 01417 B - Isle of Man PO - Conversion of Units as a PO facility - loM Business Park
- PA08 01441 B - Manx Independent Carriers - Erection of a waste management building Snugborough Trading Estate
- PA08 01453 B - Mr and Mrs Haddow - Alterations and extension - 17 River Walk Braddan
- PA08 01405 - SITA - To permit bulking-up and transfer of recyclable materials - EFW facility and reception hall: Whilst there was no objection to the proposal and detail of the application, it was questioned whether Mr Robinson should be named as the applicant, as opposed to SITA (Waste) Isle of Man Ltd.
The Commissioners had objections to the following planning applications:
- PA08 01367 - Mr J Wozniak - Proposed replacement dwelling and garage - Ivy Cottage Peel Road Braddan Bridge. The building was seen to be incongruous with the adjacent properties. Whilst the Board were not against the need for redevelopment, they would support a more sympathetic design.
- PA08 01416 B - Heritage Homes Ltd - Replacement of existing dwellings - Camlork Farm Mount Rule. The objection remained the same as previous in that the area is not zoned for residential development, any change would be detrimental to the agricultural industry as indicated in Environment Policy 14, and the application does not comply with Housing Policies 11 to 14 which deal with how houses in the countryside should be redeveloped.
I trust the above meets with your Committees approval. Yours sincerely Phil Braddan Parish Commissioners Commissioners Office Close Corran Union Mills Braddan Isle of Man
