The Secretary to the Planning Committee, Department of Local Government and the Environment Murray House, Mount Havelock, DOUGLAS.
13th June, 2008.
Dear Sir,
Re: 08/00794/B โ Alterations extension, and conversion of living accommodation into an apartment, 70 & 72 Bucks Road, Douglas, Isle of Man.
Douglas Corporation acting as the agent for the Department of Transport, under the Sewerage Act 1999 has no objection in principle to the above application subject to the following:
It should be noted that it is an offence under Manx legislation to permit the discharge of polluting or harmful matter to any public sewers or watercourses. Appropriate measures must be taken by the developer/occupier of the premises to ensure compliance with the legislation.
No discharges of fat or other food waste which will affect the performance of the public foul sewerage system will be permitted to enter the foul sewer. It will be the responsibility of the developer/occupier of the premises to provide satisfactory means of removal and disposal for such waste.
In the event that this application is approved I should be grateful if these comments could be incorporated in the approval notice. Yours faithfully,
PETER A.E QUIRK, DRAINAGE SERVICES MANAGER.
