Officer's Report
Planning approval is sought for the erection of an awning over the rear yard area of the Albert Hotel public house, 3 Chapel Row, Douglas. At present the yard area is unused and faces an alleyway. It is considered that the erection of the awning which would provide an area for smoking, would have no adverse visual impact. There are no residential properties within the immediate vicinity that would be adversely affected by the proposal.
Douglas Corporation advise of no objection, and the Department of Transport Highways Division advise that they do not oppose the development.
It is recommended that the following parties are accorded Interested Party Status in accordance with Government Circular 1/06:
- Douglas Corporation
- Department of Transport Highways Division
