Dear Ms Callow

Maughold Parish Commissioners held a meeting to consider planning issues on Monday 3rd March 2008, and they would like to submit comment on the following applications:

07/01270/B Ballafayle e Kerruish, Construction of a farm road/track, (Amended Plans);Ballafayle Ltd. The Commission acknowledges the need to improve access for vehicles to the farm, and the need to improve general access to the property 'Booil-e-Losht'. They note the intention to seek approval from the MER and DOT in regard to the railway track bed.

It is the view of the Commission that these proposals provide a solution that will be adequately integrated in to the landscape.

No objection.

08/00168/B Shirrah Ny Ree, Ballajora Hill, Alterations and Extensions to Dwelling; Mr and Mrs G Hill.

The Commission noted the plans and the subsequent amendments on drawing no. 06/2154/20A. They have no objection to these proposals.

08/00180/B Thie y Chleree, Maughold Village; Installation of replacement windows and doors; Mrs F. Moffett.

The view of the Commission was that sliding sash windows in wood to the front of the property are an acceptable option; as are timber doors.

It was agreed that comment on the proposals for the replacement of the remainder of the windows should be left to the discretion of the Conservation Officer and the Planning Officer.

08/00248/B Croit e Ben, Ballaglass Glen Road; Erection of a chimney stack; Mr and Mrs A Wales. The Commission has no objection to these proposals. The Commission thanks the Planning Committee for the opportunity to comment on the above applications. Yours sincerely
