The dwelling has been zoned under the Isle of Man Development Plan Order 1982 as being within an area of woodland; the site is not within a Conservation Area, but is within an area zoned as High Landscape Value or Costal Value and Scenic Significance.
Planning History Alterations and extensions to provide an additional floor to dwelling - 04/00732/B – APPROVED Approval in principle for alterations to provide additional floor to main building - 03/00885/A – APPROVED
Proposal
The application seeks approval for construction of front and rear elevation porches.
Representations We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application. Assessment / recommendation
The proposals are very minor extension which will have little or not impact upon the visual appearance of the surrounding locality due to the size and because of the boundary treatment which runs adjacent along the western boundary which will screen the proposals.
For these reasons the proposals would seem appropriate in these locations and therefore my recommendation is for an approval.
I consider that the following meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status:
Bride Parish Commissioners Highways Division
