Site

The application site Ramsey Grammar School, Lezayre Road, Ramsey. The site is located on the western side of the Lezayre Road.

Land Use Zoning

The site has been zoned under the Ramsey Local Plan Order 1998 as being within schools and other establishments in large grounds (secondary school); the site is not within a Conservation Area.

Proposal

The application proposes the retention of existing portacabin adjacent to synthetic pitch.

Representations We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application. Assessment / recommendation

The proposal would have no adverse impact to the detriment of the surrounding locality. For this reason the proposal would be appropriate in this location and therefore I recommend the application be approved.

C 1. This approval relates to the submitted documents and drawings 1855/1, 1855/2 and 1855/3 all received on 3rd October 2007.

C 2. This approval is valid for a period of four years from the date of this notice, after which date the mobile classroom must be removed unless there is by then in place planning approval for a further period.

C 3. The structure must only be used for storage and office purposes which are ancillary to the use of the sports pitch.
