Site

The application site is the Vehicle & Driving Test Centre, Ballafletcher Road, Cronkbourne, Douglas, which is located on a corner plot with Ballafletcher Road to the south and Ballafletcher Farm Road to the east.

Land Use Zoning

The property has been zoned under the Braddan Parish District Plan (Planning Circular 6/91) as being within an area of predominately industrial use; the site is not within a Conservation Area.

Proposal

The application proposes the erection of a canopy.

We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application.

Assessment / Recommendation

The minor proposal would be an acceptable addition to the property, one which will not be visible from the public highway due to its position. I therefore consider the proposal to be acceptable and for these reasons my recommendation is for an approval.
