Lezayre Parish Refusal
Miss Marie Connan Acting Senior Secretary Planning Committee Department of the Local Government and the Environment Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas IM1 2SF
7 September 2007
Dear Marie
The Commissioners wish to submit their views on the following planning applications:-
PA07/01445/B Ainsworth, Crenagh Barns, Glen Auldyn, Lezayre. Erection of a conservatory. APPROVED – UNANIMOUS
PA07/01448/B Forbes, Clover Cottage, Main Road, Sulby, Lezayre. Erection of a detached garage/store and garden shed. REFUSED – UNANIMOUS
The Commissioners are of the opinion that this planning application is an over development of the site and the plans are out of proportion to the plot. The Commissioners also felt that the proposed buildings are too close to the Mill Race. The Commissioners also question the previous planning application as to why they converted the existing garage into living accommodation when they do in fact require garage facilities.
PA07/01452/A Wood & Blockley, The Creggan, Tholt-Y-Will Road, Tholt-Y-Will, Sulby, Lezayre. Approval in principle for the restablishment of habitual status. REFUSED – MAJORITY 4-1
The Commissioners have refused this application on the grounds that they would like more time to clarify the legal status of the application “Approval in principle for the restablishment of habitual status”. The Commissioners would also like to know why is the planning application not asking for Renovation when the plans submitted support that this is the intention. The Commissioners would also like to find out the “policy” on ruins.
Yours Sincerely Mrs Ros Cringle Clerk to the Commissioners
