Additional application information
Application for Approval in Principle
Residential Development for 3 dwelling of land adjoining Ballafletcher Cottage, Braddan Bridge, Braddan
The applicant has consulted with the DAFF regarding the above and with the DOT in regard to the trees as part of the works in conjunction with road improvement scheme at the Braddan Bridge/Vicarage Road junction.
Currently the position of the DAFF is that they are agreeable to some limbing of overhanging trees and removal of any trees / timber that is diseased.
The DOT are to produce a management scheme for these road frontage trees (through no details are currently available) as part of their road works scheme.
The applicant is agreeable to conditions that allow for the management of these trees in conjunction with the DAFF and DOT to ensure that a tree belt is retained along this frontage and to a condition, if required, for any planting to replace any that may be removed. As regards the riverbank area, this currently is a mix of self seeded largely immature trees and shrubs. The works should not affect this area and again the applicant is agreeable to any conditions the Planning Committee deems necessary to protect this area during the works.
