THE APPLICATION SITE The site Ballaugh School, Station Road, Ballaugh. PLANNING POLICY
The application site is within an area recognised as being an area of schools & other establishments in large groups, under the Isle of Man Development Plan Order 1982. The site is not within a Conservation Area, or within an area zoned as High Landscape or Coastal Value and Scenic Significance.
PROPOSAL
The application proposes the erection of a canopy to safe play area. The proposal would have a width of 8.2 metres, a depth of 4 metres and a maximum height of 3.6 metres.

Ballaugh Parish Commissioners:- No objections
The Chief Fire Officer makes no comment on the merit of the proposed development but request that an informative note be attached to any approval decision notice.
We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application.
Assessment / Recommendation
The proposal would have no adverse impacts to the surrounding area and therefore would be appropriate in this location.

C 2. This approval relates to the submitted documents and drawings CAD/12, CAD/13 REV A, CAD 14 REV A, all received on 9th February 2007 and 19th February 2007.
N 1. Applicant to consult with Fire Safety Department as this type of property falls within the scope of the Fire Precautions Act 1975.
