SupportPort St Mary Commissioners considered the above Planning Application at their March Board Meeting, to which they wish to offer their full support.; The Commissioners congratulate both the Dept of Tourism & Leisure and Street Heritage Ltd in bringing this application forward, which will greatly enhance the existing heritage building and restore the fabric of the Railway Station and surrounding areas to their former glory.
Andrew Jessopp
SupportThis proposal would appear to conform to the policy to encourage the conversion of underutilised/vacant buildings to residential use. The work appears to be in sympathy with the existing building and should not compromise any proposal to Register the station.
Society for the Preservation of the Manx Countryside & Environment
SupportA splendid scheme which we heartily support. Getting this neglected heritage building back into use AND restoring wrongs which have been done to it in the past, is most praiseworthy.
