In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 12 April 2007, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

Schedule Of Conditions:
- The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
- This approval relates to Drawing Number 06/11/06 submitted as part of this application and date stamped 28th December 2006.
- This approval relates to the conversion of the existing stone building. No approval is hereby granted or implied for the re-building of the structure should it subsequently be found to be unstable or unsound. Any re-building works unless otherwise detailed in the application will require to be the subject of a further planning application.
- The building hereby approved may be used as an art/craft studio in association with the main dwelling (Ardwhallin Barn) only.
- The roof(s) must be finished in dark natural slate.
- All existing stonework must be retained as such and must not be rendered, painted or similarly treated.
NOTE The Chief Fire Officer recommends the installation of mains wired interconnected domestic smoke detection.
This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building control in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.

Please note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision, together with correspondence relative to the application, is available for inspection at the Department.
The proposed development must not be commenced until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
