Planning Report And Recommendations {{table:151536}} ## The Proposal Proposed now is another amendment to the scheme. The lower decked area on the south western part of the site is to be extended towards the lower road with a new balcony around the pool and minor alterations to the top of the south-facing elevation. There is a property on the other side of Tower Road but this is over 20m away across the public highway and the extension to the decked area should not adversely affect this property. ## Assessment The proposal represents a further stage of extensions and alterations to this property which is already substantial. None of the alterations proposed will have an adverse impact on its appearance or the amenities of those in neighbouring properties. ## Party Status The Department of Transport and the local authority are, by virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005, paragraph 6 (5) (c) and (d), considered "interested persons" and as such should be afforded party status. Fire Prevention Officer raises issues connected with the Building Regulations and as such should not be afforded party status in this instance. ### Recommendation Recommended Decision: Permitted Date of Recommendation: 20.02.2007

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
C 2. This permission relates to the alterations and extensions shown in drawings reference 928/1 S1, PA1C, PA2B, PA 3B and PA4C all received on 29th December, 2006.
N 1. PRIOR to the commencement of any works the applicant is advised to consult the Chief Fire Officer to ensure that adequate fire precautions are taken.
