The Application Site
The site West Hill Farm, Jurby Road, Lezayre, is located on the northern side of the Jurby Road (A13) and is northwest of Ramsey.
Planning Policy
The application site is within an area recognised as being an area of white land not zoned for development, under the Isle of Man Development Plan Order 1982. The site is not within a Conservation Area, or within an area zoned as high landscape value.
Proposal
The application proposes the conversion of existing barn into a private garage and workshop. The proposal includes minor alterations to the front elevation of the existing shed, with the installation of a roller shutter door to replace the existing glazed opening. Other alterations include the installation of three translucent roof sheets to provide additional natural light.

We have received no privately written representations objecting to the application.
Assessment / Recommendation
The proposals are very minor alterations and would have no adverse impacts to the detrimental of residential amenity of the neighbouring properties or to the surrounding countryside. For these reasons the proposals would seem appropriate in these locations and therefore my recommendation is for an approval.
