Conservation Officer's Report on Discharge of Conditions
This is an application for Reserved Matters to discharge Conditions 3 and 4 relating to Planning Application Approval 06/01432/B. Those Conditions are as follows:
C 3.
All stonework and roofing materials to be used in the new structures must be as to match the existing materials of the nearest building. Within the Lych Gate, no concrete block shall remain exposed on any exterior or interior face of the building.
The applicant offers a 1:50 Cross Section, drawing No. 'sketch' of the Lych Gate showing its construction in conjunction with a 1:5 scale detail plan all date stamped 14th January 2008 in order to discharge Condition 3 of the approval. I consider the information sufficient to discharge this condition.
C4.
No development shall take place until details of the glazing of the proposed office, and the exposed timber and lighting for the Lych Gate have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Planning Authority, and the development shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details.
In respect of the requirements of Condition 4, the applicant offers a large scale (not to scale) detail of the glazing junction in conjunction with an axonometric sketch of the glazed link and several photos of buildings with similar glazed detailing all received on the 14th January 2008.
With regard to the lighting, the applicant informs us that there is no lighting scheme planned for the inside of the Lych Gate, but they confirm that the existing lighting column (see photo appended) is to be re-located as detailed on drawing 35/01/05 'Proposed Lych Gate' date stamped 22nd August 2007.
I consider this evidence to be sufficient to discharge this Condition 4.
