The site
The site represents the site occupied by Portside Motors which is located to the south of Lewthwaite's Way and behind Victoria Road and Bay View Road in the built-up centre of Port St. Mary.
Planning Status and relevant policies
The site is designated as Residential on the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982. In the draft Port St. Mary Area Plan the site is within an area designated as Mixed Use.
Planning history
No applications have been submitted in respect of this site.
The proposal
Proposed here is the replacement of an existing sliding door on the front of the building with a roller shutter door which will have a galvanized finish.
Representations
Port St. Mary Commissioners indicate that they have no objection to the proposal.
Assessment The building is clearly industrial in appearance and the replacement of the door will not have any adverse impact on its appearance.
Party status Port St. Mary Commissioners is a statutory authority and as such should be afforded party status in this case.

C 2. This permission relates to the replacement of the roller shutter door as shown and described in the plans reference 2.06.03, -.02 and -.01 and photograph received on 15th March, 2006.
