The application site is within an area recognised as being within predominantly residential use under the Onchan Local Plan. The written statement that accompanies the local plan does not contain any policies that I consider to be specifically relevant to the assessment of the planning application.
ASSESSMENT
I consider the overall level of development contained within the proposal to be very modest and to be without adverse impact on public or private amenity.
I recommend that the planning application be approved.
PARTY STATUS
I consider that all parties that made representations to the planning application meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status.
