Dear Sirs Re: Planning Application Ref. DSFX1635260487732 Castletown Commissioners
This is in support of the above application. Castletown Commissioners contacted us to draw up plans to submit to the Planning Department to apply for permission to install a French door from the Boardroom in the Civic Building onto the Balcony area.
The reason for this is that at the moment the only access onto the Balcony is from a Rooflight in the Library and this is extremely awkward.
The Balcony is used occasionally by the Castletown Silver Band to play to the audience in the small square beneath and they have to struggle out on to the Balcony with their instruments. The new access would make this much easier and safer.
It would also be possible for the Balcony to be used for more events if it were more accessible. We would therefore ask that the Planning Department would consider this small but important change favourably. Yours sincerely Geoff Brown Director GBS Design Services Ltd
