What measures are proposed to reduce the levels of dust/mud being deposited on the public highway?
Further assessment is required to ensure the traffic generated by this proposed development and that proposed under PA 05/01092/B can be accommodated on the public highway.
The accident records indicate conflict has occurred between heavy goods vehicles on the bends between Bride and the site. The applicants comments are sought on the likelihood of similar incidents occurring should this planning application and PA 05/01092/B be approved.
The Transport Assessment averages the flow of heavy goods vehicles over the annual oppenning times of the proposed tip. Will the public or privately owned business have direct access to this development? And will traffic generation be linked to the building industry activity which will result in seasonal peaks in the usage of this proposed facility?
The Transport Assessment refers to a 6.0 metre wide road in paragraph 6.38. The average width of this road is narrower than 6.0 metres and a number of passing places exist to facilitate the two way flow of heavy goods vehicles. The applicants comments are sought on the suitability of this road to support the traffic generated by this proposed development.
