THE APPLICATION SITE AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT The application site comprises of curtilage of a terraced dwelling that is located on Third Avenue in Onchan. The proposed development comprises of the insertion of French windows to replace an existing window on the rear elevation of the dwelling. PLANNING HISTORY

There are no previous planning applications that I consider to be specifically relevant to the assessment of this current planning application.

REPRESENTATIONS Onchan District Commissioners have no objection to the planning application. PLANNING POLICY

The application site is within the area covered by the Onchan Local Plan. There are no planning policies that I consider to be specifically relevant to the assessment of the planning application.

Assessment

I consider the overall level of development contained within the proposal to be relatively modest and to be without adverse impact on public or private amenity.

I recommend that the planning application be approved.

I consider that all parties that made representations to the planning application meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status.
