In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr & Mrs D J McDaid Proposal: Erection of two storey extensions to side and rear elevations to provide sun lounge, kitchen - dining room with bedrooms and en-suites above and driveway to be widened at: 9 The Castleward Green Douglas Isle Of Man IM2 5PS
which was considered on 22 February 2006, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

Schedule Of Conditions:
- The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
- This approval relates to the submitted documents and drawings DM-001 and DM-002 all received on 12th December 2005.
- The gradient of any vehicle access drive shall not exceed 1 in 10.
- Prior to the commencement of the proposed development there must be submitted to and approved in writing by the Planning Authority a scheme for the protection and inspection of the public sewer which crosses the site; the works must be carried out in accordance with the approved scheme.
NOTE Recommend the Applicant to consult with the Fire Safety Department in order to discuss the means if escape from the sun lounge being inherently unsafe.
NOTE The vehicle footway crossing shall be constructed in compliance with Manx Roads 2.
NOTE The applicant must obtain approval from the Operations Section of the DoT Highways before carrying out any work within the highway. Telephone 686665.
This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building control in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005
This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.

You should note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision being made, along with any correspondence relative to the application, is available for inspection at the Department.
The proposed development must not be commenced until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
