Officer's Report

The site represents the curtilage of Peel Clothworkers' School which sits on the eastern side of the main town of Peel and is within an area of Education on the Peel Local Plan approved by Tynwald in 1989.

Proposed here is the installation of disabled persons' access ramps around the building with some new doors with a level threshold for use by disabled persons. The ramps are in accordance with the relevant standards and are accompanied by galvanised railings for ease of use.

None of the ramps or railings causes an adverse visual impact and there are no adverse views on the file.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2. This permission relates to the installation of disabled persons' ramps and accesses, including new doors, all as shown in drawings reference D01, D02B, D03, D04, D05 and D06 all received on 15th December, 2006.
