Officer's Report
The application proposes the erection of a single storey porch extension on the front elevation of 1 Queens Road, Onchan, which is an attached property to the rear of 47 Governors Road, within a residential area.
The porch will have a maximum projection of 2.1 metres from the existing front wall of the dwelling and a width of 2.8 metres. The finish of the porch will match the existing.
The Onchan District Commissioners have considered the application and have recommended an approval. We have received no privately written representation objecting to the proposal.
The proposal would seem appropriate in this location and will not cause a detrimental affect upon the dwelling or that of the street scene and therefore my recommendation is for an approval.
