Officer's Report
The application is for the installation of a French door and for timber decking to be erected in the rear yard, to 67 Castlemona Avenue which is part of a row of terraced properties. The property is not in a Conservation Area nor a Registered Building.
The French doors will be installed by the removal of the existing window and brickwork, so the new 1.5 metre French door can fit. The decking (finished) will be 0.2 metres above the existing yard (ground) level.
Douglas Corporation has no objection to the proposal. There are no objections.
The proposal would seem appropriate in this location and therefore my recommendation is for approval.
