Douglas.
Dear Ms Callow, Rushen Parish Commissioners have considered the following Planning Applications and their views are:- a) 05/0964. Fairfield, Ballachurry Corner, Ballafesson. Mr J Driver. Proposed store extension to side elevation. Approved b) 05/0930. Cregville, Cregneash. Miss S Shimmin. Proposed 2 storey extension to the rear of property to provide kitchen, w.c and bedroom.
The Members are pleased to note that the extension is designed to be in keeping with the existing dwelling, as befits a property in what is to become a Heritage Area. Part of Rushen Commissioners' submission regarding the proposed National Heritage Area was that those living in this area should be entitled to the same level of modern family living as those living the in rest of the Island. They are therefore pleased that the owners of this property have been able to fulfill this whilst still complying with design constraints which may be regarded as applying to a 'Heritage Area'.
c) 05/0986. Lhie ny Greiney, Surby Road, Surby. Mr & Mrs Norris. Demolition of existing boiler room and construction of new sun-lounge and dining room. Creation of new bedrooms and bathrooms at first floor above existing single-storey extension. Remodelling of existing garage to improve access. Approved.
