Officer's Report
The site represents an existing ground floor apartment in a building which is part of the terrace overlooking Chapel Bay on Port St. Mary's Promenade.
Proposed here is the replacement of the middle window in the existing front bay window, with a pair of doors giving pedestrian access onto the lower ground level in front of the window and alongside the entrance steps.
There is no adverse visual impact as a result of this change and it will enhance the amenities of those living within the ground floor apartment.
A previous application for the erection of a flat roofed annex in which the new doorway onto the patio, was refused (PA 05/0404). This provides the facilities provided in that application but without the adverse visual impact
