Officer's Report
The site lies on the eastern side of Rhenwyllan estate, between the Castletown Road and the Promenade. The site is within an area designated as Proposed Residential on the 1982 Plan.
Proposed here is an extension. The existing house has a steeply pitched roof with an assymmetrical hipped shape. Proposed is the removal of one side and its replacement with a wider, gable ended annex. The extension adds around 3m to the width of the house.
A recent application for an extension, PA 05/0661 was approved for a conservatory on the rear elevation.
There are no objections to this and I consider the proposal to be unobjectionable.
