In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr & Mrs Stock Proposal: Demolition of existing derelict barn and replace with extension of similar size comprising garage, reception room and hall at ground level and two bedrooms and bathroom at first floor level at: Hillside Main Road Ballaugh Isle Of Man IM7 5EB
which was considered on 16 September 2005, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The proposed extension would be contrary to Planning Circular 3/91 in that the proportion, form and detailing of the proposed extension would be unsympathetic and out of keeping with the building to which it would be attached and would cause demonstrable harm to the visual amenities of the locality.
- This review has been considered by the Planning Committee on written evidence. Any additional submissions not previously circulated to interested parties are enclosed herewith.
Note 1: The decision contained in this notice does not become final until:-
- the time for requesting an appeal in relation to any decision at review has expired; or
- any appeal has been completed.
Note 2: Rights of appeal against the decision of the planning committee are attached.
Note 3: An appeal may be requested within a period of 21 days.
