Officer's Report
This application relates to a terraced house in Bridge Street within the Peel Conservation Area.
A previous application (PA 04/02032/B) permitted pvc sliding sash windows on the front elevation and refused a white pvc door with half geogian panel and half glazed. The Conservation Officer requested a more traditional door preferably in a colour.
The existing door is a half glazed timber door. This application is for a blue panelled traditional pvc door with timber grained textured finish.
The Conservation Officer accepts that the appearance of the door proposed in this application will be acceptable although wood would have been preferable. The proposed door will not have a detrimental impact on the appearance of the house or on the Conservation Area in general and therefore is considered acceptable.
