Santon School is no longer used as a primary school and is located on the north western side of the A5 opposite the Santon Motel. The site is used as a learning centre, administered by the Department of Education.
Proposed now is an extension to the building to provide a new seminar room and reorganisation of the remaining space, including the provision of usable space on the first floor. There are 43 parking spaces and a disabled person's space already available on site.
The front elevation will not change. However the rear elevation will be improved by the proposed addition. Rooflights are proposed in the rear and side pitches.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
C 2. This permission relates to the alterations and extensions shown in drawings reference K038/P/10-03, -04 and -05 all received on 17th May, 2005.
N 1. The new facilities must be designed so that they are fully accessible to unassisted wheelchair users.
N 2. PRIOR to the commencement of any works the applicant is advised to consult the Chief Fire Officer to ensure that adequate fire precautions are taken.
