Split Planning Decision Notice

The Planning Committee resolved to reverse their initial approval decision and to split the decision by approving the conservatory and refusing the velux roof terrace. This decision should be recorded within the meetings of the meeting and was made on the basis that the applicant had asked for a review against the approval, which was issued with a condition that was discussed with the applicant and intended to be helpful in terms of allowing some work to be actually undertaken.

Split Decision

The erection of conservatory is APPROVED subject to:

Conditions

1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

1. This approval relates to the erection of a conservatory as shown in drawing no.s 01, 02 and 03 date stamped the 25th May 2005 only. No approval is hereby granted or conferred for the installation of a velux roof terrace by this approval certificate.

The installation of a velux roof terrace is REFUSED on the following grounds:

Reason For Refusal

1. The proposed velux roof terrace will afford an unacceptable level of overlooking of the surrounding residential properties, causing an unacceptable loss of privacy and giving rise to a subsequent detrimental impact on the residential amenity of these residential properties.
