05/00377/A Approval in Principle for creation of an industrial/business park comprising individual units with associated infrastructure (lighting, sewage) and access to Mill Road via the former railway line, Field Adjacent To Total Oil Depot, Off Mill Road, Close Chairn, This land is zoned for Industrial Use on the Peel Local Plan and we therefore support the proposal but I must repeat what I said recently on the Lorry Park proposal nearby, viz.: that it would be much better if an access to the main road, similar to that enjoyed by the Power Station, could be contrived. Otherwise this development will necessarily result in heavy lorry traffic going through the narrow streets of Peel town centre.
05/00383/B Removal of roof window and replace with balcony and removal of rooflight to flat roof and replace with uPVC lantern, 12 Carrick Court, Communal/Landlords Carrick Court, Bay View Road, This is the former, red-brick, hotel building fronting the main street, is it not? No great beauty of a structure and I don't think this will make it any worse materially. (Nor any better, alas!) No objections.
