Please find below the Commissioners decisions in relation to planning applications considered by them at their meeting on 22nd March 2005.
PA05 00093/B - Yewly Properties Ltd - Residential development of six dwellings and associated car parking - Land rear of Sunnybank and Sunny Cottage, Peel Road - amended plans.
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above amended application.
PA05 00331 - Mr & Mrs Morris - Outbuilding, Ballig, West Baldwin - Amendments to Existing Planning Approval PA99/1022 enclosing additional information.
The Commissioners would recommend that there is a material planning reason to object to the principle of the application, on the basis that the application is not compliant with Planning Circular 3/89 in relation to paragraph 4 of the Circular, in that there is no justifiable reason for the existing built development to be increased by way of an extension.
The Commissioners resolved to recommend to the Planning Committee that there is a material planning reason to object to the detail of the application in relation to the design principles regarding the South East Elevation as the windows are at different heights and in addition a porch has been included, the design of which is unsympathetic to the existing built development.
The Commissioners further resolved to request the Planning Committee to advise the applicant that there is no valid planning approval in place, as the Approval in Principle expired in June 2000 and the Detailed Approval expired in October 2004.
PA05 00338 - Braddan Parish Commissioners - Memorial Hall, Union Mills - Storage Facilities to rear of building by means of provision of a PortaCabin to provide additional storage and W.C.'s link corridor and internal alternations.
The Commissioners received and noted the above application, as this is an application submitted by the Commissioners.
PA05 00349 - David White Cars Limited - Unit 11c, Snugborough Trading Estate, Union Mills - Retrospective change of use for vehicle sales and servicing and storage of 2No p.p.v's.
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.
PA05 0390 - Mr & Mrs P McGrath - Construction of a single dwelling - Mount Murray Lodge, Castletown Road, Braddan.
The Commissioners would recommend that the application for Approval in Principle be refused, as in the Commissioners opinion it would constitute backland development and would be an over intensive use of the site that would be unneighbourly in relation to the adjacent property.
PA05 0392 - DHSS - To include 2 Velux rooflights to the approved building - Area adjacent to Leece Lodge, Braddan Road. The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application. I trust the above meets with your Committee's approval. Yours sincerely
