Officer's Report
The application seeks approval for the laying of narrow gauge track on the former track bed at Laxey Mines as part of the ongoing restoration of the tracks and associated works.
There are no objections to the proposed development and letters of support have been received. The works have previously had approval in principle under PA 00/0721/A and are a continuation of the ongoing restoration work. I consider the impact of proposed development to be acceptable the principle of the restoration to be something that should be supported. Accordingly, I recommend that the planning application be approved.
