Rushen Parish Commissioners have considered the following Planning Applications and their views are as follows:-
a) 04/2551. 9 The Chase, Ballakillowey. Mr & Mrs Brown. Alterations and additions - a) conversion of existing garage into living accommodation and formation of additional parking area to side of existing garage; b) extension to south/west side of existing property; c) alterations to ground floor bedroom windows. Approved.
b) 04/2556. Ballachrink Farm, Cousin’s Hill, Surby. Mr Juan Hargraves. (Tenant of the land) Erection of an agricultural building for the purpose of sheltering cattle and sheep and also for the storage of feed and bedding. Approved.
c) 04/2548. Ballasherlogue, Ballakilpheric. Mr & Mrs Cashmore. Internal remodeling of main house and small glazed extension to kitchen. Approved.
d) 04/2582. Glendown Farm, Truggan Road. Mr & Mrs D Cain. Demolish existing leaking front porch and build replacement porch. This re-submission has been agreed with Conservation Officer Mr S Moore at site meeting on 8th December 2004, as recommended in refusal of original application (00/903/B). Approved.
e) 04/2420/REM Level Garage, The Level. Modena Developments Ltd.
Amended Plans received for the ‘Reserved matters application for the approval in principle for residential development’. These are drainage plans.
The Commissioners remain opposed to the development of 7 houses as outlined in the previous application as they regard it as overdevelopment of the site and are concerned about surface water drainage to the existing stream.
